Our cancellation policy is designed to provide clarity, fairness, and full compliance with Australian Consumer Law (ACL) while maintaining strong partnerships with our global travel suppliers and service providers.

General Policy

This policy applies to all bookings made directly through Opulent Adventures Pty Ltd or authorised affiliates, including flights, hotels, tours, and complete holiday packages. Cancellations are always subject to the specific terms and conditions of the airline, hotel, or travel supplier involved at the time of booking.

Types of Cancellations

Voluntary Cancellation (By Customer)

If you choose to cancel your booking, the following may apply based on the supplier’s terms:

  • Partial refund (minus supplier penalties and Opulent service fees)
  • Future travel credit, if the fare or product is non-refundable
  • Full refund only if explicitly allowed under supplier conditions or Australian Consumer Law

Non-refundable bookings are not eligible for cash refunds unless:

  • The supplier or airline issues a waiver
  • A major failure has occurred under the Australian Consumer Law
  • Exceptional cases apply (e.g. serious illness, bereavement, or government-imposed travel restrictions)

Non-Changeable / Non-Cancellable Bookings

  • Some promotional or discounted bookings are strictly non-cancellable and non-changeable once confirmed.
  • Our consultants will always notify you at the time of booking if your fare or package falls under this category.

Involuntary Cancellations (By Airline or Supplier)

In cases where the airline, hotel, or tour operator cancels or significantly alters your booking, you may be entitled to:

  • A full refund, or
  • Rebooking at no additional charge, subject to supplier policy

Opulent Adventures Pty Ltd will assist you in liaising with the supplier and ensure your entitlements are processed promptly.

Supplier and Consolidator Terms

Many travel products are issued through accredited wholesalers or consolidators, and their cancellation rules may include:

  • Non-refundable agency or processing fees
  • Cancellation requests within a specified time frame (e.g. before departure date)
  • Mandatory documentation (ticket copies, identification, etc.)

Opulent Adventures Pty Ltd always discloses such terms before submitting your cancellation request.

Processing Timeframes

Once a cancellation or refund is approved by the supplier or airline, processing may take:

  • Supplier confirmation: 10–20 business days
  • Opulent administrative processing: 3–5 business days
  • Bank/card reflection: up to 10 additional business days

We will keep you informed of your cancellation status and provide documentation via email.

  • Opulent service or booking fees are non-refundable unless required by law.
  • All cancellations must be confirmed in writing via email.
  • Any supplier-imposed penalties will be disclosed before proceeding.
  • Refunds, if applicable, may be issued as travel credits or e-vouchers depending on supplier terms.
