Our mission is to ensure every client understands their rights, refund eligibility, and the procedures that apply under the Australian Consumer Law and IATA airline fare rules.

✈️ Section 1: Standard Bookings (Directly Booked via Opulent Adventures)

This section applies to all tickets purchased directly through us — whether by phone, email, or via one of our registered travel advisors.

✅ Eligibility for Refund

Refunds are governed by the fare rules of the issuing airline and the ticket type purchased. Opulent Adventures acts as an intermediary between you and the airline or consolidator, ensuring that all refunds are processed strictly in accordance with official fare conditions and supplier agreements.

🔄 Refund Scenarios

Within 24 Hours of Booking:
If your ticket is cancelled within 24 hours of purchase and before midnight of the same calendar day, we will follow airline and supplier refund guidelines. In most cases, a full refund (minus service charges, if applicable) can be processed if cancellation occurs before ticket issuance.
Refundable Fares:
Refunds will be processed in accordance with airline fare rules. Any service fees charged by Opulent Adventures (if applicable) are non-refundable once the booking is confirmed.
Non-Refundable Fares:
For non-refundable tickets, you may still be eligible for:
- Airline travel credit (e-credit or voucher)
- Partial refund in the event of schedule change or airline-authorised waiver
- Refund of unused taxes or government-imposed fees, where applicable
Schedule Changes or Flight Cancellations by Airline:
If your airline cancels or significantly alters your flight schedule, you may be entitled to a full refund or a free rebooking — as per the airline’s policy.
Medical/Bereavement Exceptions:
In exceptional cases, airlines may authorise refunds or travel credits on non-refundable tickets. Our team will assist you with the documentation and submission process, but final approval remains at the airline’s discretion.

⏳ Processing Time

Refunds typically take between 7–21 business days from the date the airline approves the request.
Refunds to credit or debit cards may take additional time to reflect depending on your financial institution.

All agency or service fees are non-refundable once the ticket is issued.

Section 2: Travel Consultation Services (External Bookings)

This section applies to clients who engage Opulent Adventures for refund or credit recovery assistance on tickets not originally booked with us. Such services are provided under our fair “No Recovery, No Fee” model.

📝 Refund Consultation Overview

We assist clients in securing the following from airlines or suppliers:

Recovery of airline credits or vouchers
Refunds for unused or partially used tickets
Schedule change or cancellation-based waivers
Medical or compassionate refunds
Fare reassessment or downgrade compensation

💼 Payment Policy

Our consultancy fees apply only upon successful refund or credit recovery. The standard fee is up to 40% of the recovered amount (credit or cash), and this is clearly stated in a written consent email before any work begins.

🧾 Refund Policy for Consultation Services

Once a refund or credit has been successfully obtained and invoiced, our service fee is non-refundable.
If you choose not to redeem or use a recovered airline credit or refund, our success-based fee still applies, as fulfilment is determined by recovery, not usage.
Each case is deemed complete when:
- An airline provides written confirmation of refund or credit, or
- Funds are returned to your payment method, or
- A voucher or travel credit is issued under your name or booking reference.

⏳ Processing Time

Airline-issued credits are usually received within 5–10 business days.
Refunds may take 7–21 business days, depending on the airline or consolidator involved.
Our service fee is invoiced only after proof of recovery is received.
